Antioxidants are small substances that protect your cells from free radicals, which can damage your cells. Too much free radicals cause a state called “oxidative stress”, this can damage your DNA. When the body is under oxidative stress for a long period of time this can increase the risk of cancer, heart diseases, Parkinson’s disease, respiratory disease, low immunity, and other inflammations.

There are lots of antioxidants out there; some of them are, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin A, lycopene, beta-carotene, magnesium, selenium, polyphenols, flavonoids, and catechins.
